Naga Munchetty pays heartwarming tribute to colleagues in bittersweet announcement

Naga Munchetty paid a heartwarming tribute to her colleagues on Sunday night while announcing that filming on the latest season of the BBC One documentary series, Claimed and Shamed, has wrapped. 

The BBC Breakfast star hosts the programme, which exposes the growing problem of insurance fraud and follows a team of investigators as they hunt down suspected fraudsters.

Taking to Instagram, the journalist shared a selfie showing her smiling while standing in front of several crew members. She penned in the caption: "And that's a wrap!

"Have loved filming this latest series of Claimed & Shamed! These fabulous people are fantastic fun to work with - I will miss them. New series on @bbcone soon."

Fans were quick to express their delight in the comments section, with one person writing: "Fabulous program, brilliantly presented. Well worth watching," while another added: "Looking forward to seeing the programme!!"

A third follower commented: "Love the programme."

For those unfamiliar with the series, the full synopsis reads: "Documentary series that casts a covert eye over the ever-growing problem of insurance fraud, and sees outlandish claimers as they're caught out on camera."

When she's not presenting Claimed and Shamed, Naga – who is married to TV director James Haggar – can be found on the BBC Breakfast sofa from Thursdays to Saturdays each week alongside Charlie Stayt, or keeping her followers updated with her latest fitness session.

Her most recent post sparked a reaction from fans when she shared a post-run selfie. The caption read: "Didn't want to. Did it. It's done. #run Happy Friday xx."

Naga's followers took to the comments section to show their support for the BBC star, who is an avid runner. One person labelled the presenter "inspirational", while another wrote: "I know the feeling. Just keep turning up......"

A third fan commented: "Well done Naga. Onwards to the weekend flower."
