ITV's detective drama, Grace, drew to a dramatic close on Sunday night with the final episode of its third series – and viewers are saying the same thing about it.
The series is set in Brighton and follows dedicated detective Roy Grace (John Simm) who, haunted by the disappearance of his wife, investigates grisly crimes for the East Sussex police.
The third episode sees Grace and DS Glenn Branson (Richie Campbell) look into a stalking case. When an attempt is made on the life of rising music star Gaia Lafayette (Victoria Emslie), the detectives must work out who of Gaia's fanbase may be concealing sinister intentions.

Viewers who tuned in to watch the episode took to Twitter to praise the gripping instalment, with one person writing: "This series of #Grace on @ITV was brilliant! Somehow manages to go from strength to strength," while another added: "Brilliant storyline. Outstanding cast. Enjoyed every episode of series three #Grace. Come back soon. Sunday night won't be the same without you. Series four @itv soon please."
A third person praised author Peter James, who wrote the novel series upon which the show is based. "@peterjamesuk @ITV Brilliant series once again, and plenty left for the next! Skilfully rewritten for TV and thoroughly enjoyable. Thank you!"
Other fans applauded John Simm's performance, with one person writing: "Grace is brilliant. I hope we get more series in the future. Fantastic show and John Simm is just a brilliant actor," while another added: "Very clever writing. John Simm is excellent."
Other fans couldn't help but express their disappointment that there weren't more episodes in the series, considering there were four instalments in season two.
One person tweeted: "Can't believe there were only three episodes in that series of Grace," while another added: "#Grace such a great actor John Simms, a legend, and it's over. Sad only three episodes this time, three cracking stories this year. Thought last week was ace. Wishing the team had four eps like the last two years."
