Somara Theodore has already become a favorite among the Good Morning America line-up, and it definitely looks like she's making herself at home.

Check out, in the video below, how she was able to leave her co-stars on Good Morning America: Weekend Edition truly stunned with a prank that hit close to home.

Somara joined the ABC News team earlier in the month as part of their meteorology team, led by mainstay GMA reporter and head of the climate unit, Ginger Zee

Her entry definitely came in the wake of shake-ups among the core team, courtesy of T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach's exit from the show.

Somara has become not only a key part of the ABC weather team, but specifically the weekend line-up of the morning news show, alongside Gio Benitez, Whit Johnson, and Janai Norman.

Prior to her tenure with ABC, though, the 32-year-old was a part of NBC's WRC-TV, Washington D.C.'s local NBC station.

Somara was previously a part of the NBC weather team

She was part of their Storm Team 4 for six years, providing weather forecasts on NBC4 and often Weekend Today, having even subbed in for primary Today Show meteorologist Al Roker on occasion.

A statement released by ABC News president Kim Godwin reads: "With Somara among our ranks, I look forward to the unparalleled, continuing coverage of weather systems and climate change, expanding on our team's on-the-ground reporting over the years from coast to coast within the U.S. and across the world from Mexico City to Canada, Antarctica to Africa, New Zealand to Australia and beyond."

Ginger herself was elated to share the news with her followers as Somara officially joined the team back in early March.

Alongside a pair of photos with her new team member, she penned: "Can't tell you how elated I am to introduce you to the newest member of our ABC weather team… @somaratheodore – I'm forecasting sunshine, rainbows and all the blizzards & hurricanes in between.

"So happy to have you onboard. You all will see her on @goodmorningamerica for the first time this Saturday!"
