NCIS: Hawai'i star Yasmine Al-Bustami has shared a heartwarming tribute to fans of the show after her character, Lucy Tara, won a competition run by CBS.
The broadcaster held a poll on Twitter, asking fans which fictional CBS character they would want on their team to help save the day, and Lucy Tara won 85.4 per cent of the votes. Watch Yasmine's message in the video below.
It was a close competition, with LL Cool J's NCIS: Los Angeles character Sam Hanna coming in second place.
Yasmine shared a sweet message to voters after the result was announced. In a video message shared by CBS' official Twitter account, she said: "I just found out that y'all voted for Lucy to be on y'alls' team to help save the day and I just wanted to thank you guys for that. I will be on y'alls' team any day. Thanks to the NCIS: Hawai'i fans for voting and the CBS fans for voting.

"Woop! Let's do it!" she added.
Fans were quick to react to the tribute, with one person commenting: "Yasmine, you deserve all the love in the world!" while another added: "We love Lucy, #Kacy and #NCISHawaii."
It's no surprise that Yasmine's character won the vote as she is a favorite among fans of the franchise, who have become deeply invested in the romantic storyline between Lucy and her girlfriend Kate Whistler (played by Tori Anderson).
While Yasmine took a brief break from the series and stepped away for five episodes in season two to film for a separate project, her character returned in episode 15 when Lucy was reunited with Kate and the rest of the team.
Yasmine's good news comes amidst the show's three-week hiatus. New episodes of NCIS, NCIS: Hawai'i and NCIS: Los Angeles will not air this week, with all three shows set to return later this month.
The flagship drama and its Hawai'i spin-off will air on Monday 10 April, while the LA series will continue on Sunday 16 April.
