Savannah Guthrie must be on cloud nine after receiving some amazing news. The Today anchor updated fans on Instagram with a message revealing Today will receive the Peabody's Institutional Award.
Savannah posted a photo in which she was flanked by her co-hosts, Hoda Kotb, Al Roker and Carson Daly as they held the award.
She captioned the post: "Thank you, Peabody, for honoring 71 years of TODAY."Fans were eager to congratulate them on their accomplishment and commented: "Well deserved!! You are amazing group of people on the Today Show," and, "Congrats you guys are the best".
The NBC show was selected by the Peabody Board of Jurors for this year's honor, which "recognizes institutions and organizations, as well as series and programs, for their enduring body of work and their iconic impact on both the media landscape and the public imagination."
The statement from the Peabody executive director Jeffrey Jones continued: "For nearly three quarters of a century, Today has been a morning staple for millions of Americans and a consistent cultural touchstone for deeply moving human stories, groundbreaking news, and daily joy.

"We’re thrilled to recognize the program, not only for their decades of stellar reporting and storytelling, but also for their undeniable impact on culture and an informed public."
Savannah has been working alongside Hoda since 2017, after the mother-of-two replaced Matt Lauer after he was fired from the NBC morning news program.

The pair have become incredibly close over the years, and recently opened up about their friendship while chatting to HELLO!.
Savannah said: "We feel grateful every single day, I know we feel grateful for this partnership and getting to come and do a job that is literally fun and to get to do it with a good friend who you trust so much and to just hold hands and get to do this together every morning."
She then said: "I never get over that. I still can't believe it came true."
Hoda added: "I am working with Savannah which is a job that you can only dream of having."
