A Live with Regis and Kathie Lee clip was played on Live with Kelly and Mark's first episode for a very special nostalgic reason related to the new hosts' personal lives.
The clip, dated November 1, 2000, came from a time prior to when Kelly Ripa became the official host of the series in February 2001. Instead, she was hosting the show alongside Regis as one of several stand-ins for its regular anchor, Kathie Lee Gifford, who'd left the show in July 2000.
During this historic episode, a psychic named Char Margolis was invited to predict what the future had in story for the TV personalities. Shockingly, she answered by correctly predicting that Kelly was pregnant with her and Mark Consuelos's second child.
As the young host explained to Char and Regis at the time, this was a fact she had yet to reveal to her bosses behind the scenes!
Kelly and Mark, who married in 1996, went on to welcome their daughter Lola in June 2001. Lola was the couple's second child, after the pair welcomed a son, Michael, in 1997. They would later go on to welcome another son, Joaquin, in 2003.
© Getty ImagesThe clip has been re-shown on Live! once before, as the show relived the moment when Char was invited to come and predict Ryan Seacrest's future on the show in February 2020. Back then, Kelly explained: "We hadn't told anybody, nobody knew."
She also stressed to Ryan how she didn't think the psychic could have researched her prior to the show because she had been drafted in to host last-minute.
Many years on from this amazing television moment, Char was invited back to the studio in order to give her predictions for Mark's future after he became Kelly's co-host on April 14, 2023.
© Getty ImagesKelly and Mark looked back on the clip fondly, with Kelly introducing Char by saying: "I'm convinced she's the reason why I have my job here," before adding: "We shared a very special moment on my first day, so it's only fitting to have her join us on Mark's official first day."

Char then went on to predict more good news for the couple 23 years on from her first meeting with Kelly. The psychic predicted that their new show was likely to prove a big success and also suggested their dreams of owning real estate in Palm Springs might be soon around the corner.
