Today stars Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb returned to the show on Tuesday morning after being absent at the beginning of the week.
Both hosts were replaced for Monday's show, with regular Today co-anchor Craig Melvin, Kristen Welker and Jacob Soboroff stepping in for the duo.
Craig explained why Savannah and Hoda were missing from their usual spots on the Today desk, telling viewers that they both had "the morning off".
Monday's show won't be the only occasion Savannah will be away from the Today studio in the coming weeks as she is set to fly to London to report on King Charles's coronation in May.
The 51-year-old made the announcement during last Thursday's show, confirming that she would be in the UK for "about three weeks". Savannah previously visited the UK to cover the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II in September last year.
Savannah and Hoda often report on tough subjects. Just last week, the duo were close to tears when they reunited with their NBC colleague Richard Engel and his wife Mary eight months after the death of their six-year-old boy.

Henry, who passed away in August 2022, had been diagnosed in 2017 with Rett Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that can lead to physical and cognitive impairments at a very young age. Watch Richard and Mary's heartbreaking appearance in the video below.
Savannah and Hoda have been working together on Today since 2017. Talking to HELLO! about their on and off-screen relationship, Savannah said: "We feel grateful every single day.
"I know we feel grateful for this partnership and getting to come and do a job that is literally fun and to get to do it with a good friend who you trust so much and to just hold hands and get to do this together every morning - I never get over that. I still can't believe it came true."
