Married At First Sight Australia star Alyssa Barmonde has risen to fame thanks to her appearance on season ten of the popular dating programme – but did you know she made her reality TV debut over a decade ago?
Back in 2010, Alyssa, 33, appeared on an episode of the American reality court show Judge Judy, presided over by Judy Sheindlin. The reality star, who grew up in the States, appeared as a defendant on the programme.
In a recent TikTok video, Alyssa said that she was "being sued" by two of her roommates for a fire that broke out at their home, explaining that they tried to blame the blaze on her hookah pipe.
"I stupidly sent them a text message saying that I was going to be taking full responsibility," she said. "Actually, they hacked my work computer and downloaded those text messages and brought them as evidence."

She went on to say that Judge Judy threw the case out and that her flatmates kept her $700 security deposit.
© NINE/Channel 4Alyssa shared a video of her appearance on TikTok, which showed Judge Judy handing the then-22-year-old a printed copy of a text message she had sent to her flatmates.
"I want you to take a look at this text message you sent," the judge said. "You want to read it to me because to me it's written by a functional illiterate. I don't know how to do these text messages."
© NINE/Channel 4Attempting to defend herself, Alyssa began: "Yes your honour, I did say –" before being cut off by the judge, who exclaimed: "Would you read it to me!"
Fans were quick to react to Alyssa's Judge Judy appearance, with one person tweeting: "Learning that Alyssa was on Judge Judy makes me more invested in her and Duncan," while another added: "Alyssa was on Judge Judy???"
