Kate Garraway admitted that she burst into "joyous tears" after Elton John dedicated a song to her family while they attended his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour at the O2 Arena.
Sharing a clip of Elton dedicating Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me to Kate and Derek on Instagram, Kate wrote: "So this was a moment. Finally found someone who had actually filmed it rather than just burst into joyous tears as we did!!!
"Still can’t quite believe we were there at all - even hours before we feared Derek would be too weak - but he was determined. Yes Derek has been back in hospital this week & yes there’s such a long road ahead but #eltonjohn & @davidfurnish you gave the kids & Derek a moment that we will never forget and has lifted their spirits again to feel anything is possible.
"Thank you for your inspiring music and huge heart. Thank you too to everyone else who made the impossible possible. All the carers, the #rocketentertainment team , the gang @theo2london who work so hard to make concerts like this accessible & @addisonleecabs who worked hard to find suitable transport. We are bursting with gratitude."

Susanna Reid was among those to send support, writing: "So beautiful." Another concert-goer added: "We were there and were in tears so can only imagine how you must have felt. Such a beautiful moment when everyone clapped and cheered for you."
A third person added: "Oh wow how amazing. Elton John has such a special place in my heart, your song was our wedding song and unfortunately I guess that’s why I call it the blues we played at my husband's funeral."
