Today viewers were left wondering 'what is going on?' on Thursday after four of its hosts revealed they had left the New York studios for a secret reason.
When Al Roker was replaced by Bill Karin who delivered the weather alongside Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie, fans got to thinking about where the popular meteorologist had gone.
It wasn't long before Dylan Dreyer teased their exciting project on Instagram and revealed they, along with Sheinelle Jones and Craig Melvin would not be in the studio on Friday.
Her Instagram post hinted at something out of the ordinary as she shared photos of the group in a hot air balloon and also camping out in the wild. "We’re doing what??? Where??? You don’t want to miss the 3rd hour of @todayshow Friday morning," she wrote.
Fans immediately began commenting and wrote: "I can’t wait !! Love the 3rd hour," and, "I want to work with you guys."

Others were perplexed as they had seen some of the hosts on the air that morning, only to discover it was a pre-taped show.
The group are in Sonoma County, California, and their segment on Friday's show promises to be a good one.
Today had another mini shake-up recently when it welcomed a temporary new host - Dylan's son, Calvin, six. He tagged along with his famous mom to record Today's radio show.

Today XSM posted a snapshot of Dylan, Al, and Sheinelle in the studio with Calvin by their side.
© InstagramDylan shared the photo and wrote: "Trying to make spring break fun for Cal! He asked if he can come back every time I do the radio! #Repost @todaysxm."
She then reposted the show's message which read: "And our 4th super cutie pie new cohost is….Calvin!!! Come hang with us on an all new Off The Rails full of fun, family and.. Pippi Longstockings?! Streaming now."
