Kelly Ripa has had a whirlwind week in her career – not only has her husband Mark Consuelos joined her as her new co-host on Live! with Kelly and Mark, but she has also started work on the second season of Generation Gap.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, the television personality shared a photo showing her laptop sitting on top of a folder with the Generation Gap logo printed onto it. She wrote in the caption: "#generationgap season 2," alongside a GIF that read: "Work in progress".
The game show, which premiered last summer, is a reboot of the 1969 version featuring family members of different generations who work together to answer pop culture questions for a grand prize.
The series clearly went down on a storm with viewers as ABC announced that the show had been renewed for a second season back in March.
The show's official Instagram shared the news, posting a photo of Kelly hosting the program alongside the caption: "Fun-lovers of all ages, get ready for Round 2! #GenerationGap will be back June 29 on ABC and Stream on Hulu!"

It's been a very busy time for the All My Children actress as her husband Mark made his debut on Live! with Kelly and Mark on Monday.
Welcoming her husband of 27 years to the show, Kelly said: "Joining me today, and permanently, until one of us dies is Mark Consuelos!"
"Wow, that was a nice reception," Mark said thankfully in response to the audience's cheers, before adding to his wife: "I just want to say thank you for trusting me to be your co-pilot."
Mark joined the program following Ryan Seacrest's departure. The TV host left the show, which was previously titled Live! with Kelly and Ryan, after six years.
Ryan's final episode was an emotional one, with Kelly tearing up several times. Speaking about their bond, she said: "We have been friends for decades and decades, I feel I have gained a younger brother, slash older son," prompting giggles from Ryan and the audience.
She then went on to admit: "It's very complicated… I'm so grateful that our success together on this show has led to us developing an even closer but co-dependent relationship."
