Holly Willoughby has reunited with her This Morning co-host Phillip Schofield after weeks apart.
The ITV presenters welcomed viewers to Monday morning's programme and were clearly thrilled to be back hosting alongside each other after Phillip's absence, the Easter holidays, and Holly's bout of shingles meant an extended break from presenting duties as a duo.
At the start of the show, Holly began by taking a deep sigh and saying: "It is nice to be back!" before turning to Phillip and saying: "Good to see you! I'm feeling much better. I've had a wobbly week and a half and if anyone has had shingles it's really not the nicest thing but yes, I'm much better."
Phillip then added: "All mended? Good. It's lovely to see you." Fans were quick to react on social media to Holly and Phillip's reunion. One person wrote: "Holly's back on #ThisMorning," alongside a celebratory GIF.

A second, however, was convinced that Holly and Phillip weren't quite themselves on the show. "No hugging? Something is amiss with Holly and Phil." A third, echoed this, commenting: "Is it just me, or does Holly look incredibly awkward? #thismorning." A fourth said: "Holly is practically stood in the Loose Women studio she's that far away."
Last week, Holly was housebound after coming down with a bout of shingles. Phillip hosted This Morning between Monday and Thursday as usual but was joined by Rochelle Humes in Holly's place. However, over the weekend Holly announced that she had made a recovery and was able to leave the house.
She wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of their family dog, Bailey: "And I'm out of the house… the birds are putting on quite the show today… spring sounds beautiful."
Before Holly's illness, the Easter break meant that the ITV programme welcomed many different faces to guest host the show. Prior to the holidays, Phillip missed a week of hosting on This Morning amid his brother's trial at Exeter Crown Court. Timothy was found guilty of 11 sexual offences involving a child between October 2016 and October 2019.
Addressing his absence last week, Phillip thanks viewers for their support during his time off. Looking into the camera, he said: "Also to you, I wanted to say thank you for all your kind messages and support, which were really appreciated. So, thank you very much indeed."
