Hoda Kotb was without her partner-in-crime, Savannah Guthrie, on Tuesday's episode of Today. While introducing the hit NBC show, Hoda was instead joined by her colleague, Craig Melvin for the programme. While the mom-of-two remained tight-lipped about Savannah's absence, Hoda did reveal that it was due to an "assignment" that she's been working on.
Naturally, the details of Savannah's assignment were kept under wraps, however, fans may be wondering if she's currently travelling to London, where she's due to report on King Charles' Coronation. Earlier this month, the TV personality announced that she'd be travelling to the UK in "about three weeks," and with the Coronation just two weeks away now, it's possible that Savannah's assignment could be related to the royals. Guess we'll have to wait and see!

Over the last few months, Today has seen a number of presenter shakeups. Just last week, the show was missing a lot of its regular stars, including Al Roker, Sheinelle Jones, Dylan Dreyer and Craig Melvin. In a surprise announcement, it was later explained that they were out of the studio to take part in a special Today Show broadcast sponsored by Sonoma County Tourism.
Meanwhile, Savannah has also been absent from the Today studio on several occasions. In the last week of March, Savannah took several days off for a "magical reason." Taking to Instagram, the mom-of-two shared photos of her family - including daughter, Vale, eight, and son, Charles, six, and her husband, Michael Feldman - at Disneyland.
The family appeared to be having the best time in photos she shared on Instagram! Savannah, Michael and their children got into the spirit of things with matching Mickey Mouse ears and accessories as they took in the sights of the Magic Kingdom.
The TV host captioned the photos: "The magic is real," as fans rushed to comment. "Too adorable," wrote one, while another added: "Hope you had fun."
