There has been  a lot of buzz surrounding Disney's live-action remake of The Little Mermaid, and after a brand new trailer was released, there's even more.

Starring Halle Bailey as the red-headed, aquatic Disney Princess, Ariel, plus Melissa McCarthy as Ursula and Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric, the film has received both excitement and skepticism.

The latest round of mixed reactions after the most recent trailer seem to be largely directed at Flounder, voiced by Jacob Tremblay, particularly his far less cutesy appearance compared to the charming yellow cartoon in the original 1989 musical, though you can come to your own conclusion after watching the video below.

The movie will be out in exactly a month, on May 26, and there's plenty of expressive fan reactions to entertain you in the meantime.

Many joked of Flounder's flattened appearance, taking to Twitter and writing: "Live-action Flounder is my sleep paralysis demon," and: "They made Flounder get buccal fat removal surgery???" as well as: "Who is Flounder's Ozempic plug? I'm so serious."

On the other hand, there was plenty of praise for Melissa's Ursula, with fans writing: "Melissa McCarthy is PERFECT!!!!" plus: "That's MOTHER," as a third added: "Oh Melissa is gonna EAT as Ursula. I can feel it in my bones."

And as for its lead star, fans said: "Halle looks so ethereal like a literal ocean goddess," and: "Now that is a voice worth stealing," of her singing, as well as: "Queen!!!"
