Strictly's Halloween dances revealed - and fans are 'screaming' over Angela Rippon’s song

Strictly Come Dancing is well underway as we’re already on Halloween week, how did that happen?! The BBC has now announced the song and dance choices for the remaining couples, and fans are loving the choices - particularly Angela Rippon and Kai Widdrington’s very special planned performance.

Sharing a clip of the remaining couples showing off their moves on Instagram, the official Strictly account’s post read: "Who’s ready for a spooktacular Saturday night? It’s finally time to reveal our fiendishly good Halloween routines! #Strictly," complete with a ghost emoji.

The video revealed that Annabel and Johannes would be performing a Tango to Need You Tonight by INXS, Zara and Graziano are set to dance the Charleston to Jeepers Creepers by Al Donahue & His Orchestra, Ellie and Vito will have a Salsa to Murder on the Dancefloor by Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Nigel and Katya are taking on a Cha-cha-cha to I Was Made for Lovin’ You by KISS, Angela and Carlos are dancing a Paso Doble to BLACK swan SWAN lake by District 78, and Bobby and Dianne are also doing a Cha-cha-cha to Come-On-a-My House by Della Reese.

Meanwhile, Layton and Nikita will be performing a Tango to Vampire by Olivia Rodrigo, Krishnan and Lauren will be performing a Viennese waltz to Kiss from a Rose by Seal, Adam and Luba will perform an American Smooth to Magic Moments by Perry Como, and finally, Angela and Kai will be changing the Charleston to the theme of Murder She Wrote.

  • Strictly winners Kevin Clifton and Stacey Dooley welcomed baby Minnie in January 2023.
  • Former Strictly pros James and Ola Jordan share a daughter, three-year-old Ella.
  • Former pro Pasha Kovalev and Rachel Riley share two daughters, Maven, three, and Noa, one.
  • Strictly judge and ex-pro Anton du Beke and his wife Hannah share adorable six-year-old twins George and Henrietta.
  • Former Strictly star Artem Chigvintsev and Nikki Bella became parents to son Matteo in July 2000.
  • Professional dancer Natalie Lowe and her husband James Knibbs welcomed their son Jack in December 2020. 
  • Ben Cohen and former Strictly dancer Kristina Rihanoff met in series 11 and now share a six-year-old daughter, Milena.
  • Ex-Strictly pro Brendan Cole and his wife Zoe Hobbs are parents to Aurelia, age 10, and Dante, five.

Fans were delighted with the choices, with one writing: "I literally screamed when I saw Angela is doing murder she wrote!" Another person added: "I can't wait for this! Murder She Wrote is one of my favourites of the old tv shows I used to watch and I love the theme tune! Magic Moments will make me shed a tear or two because it reminds of me of my dad, Kiss from a Rose is one of the most beautiful songs in the world! I am so looking forward to Saturday night now."

A third person added: "Finally gave Angela R a fast dance, also looking forward to Bobby’s Cha Cha and Angela’s Paso!" 

The latest update comes shortly after Amanda Abbington confirmed that she would be dropping out of the competition due to personal reasons. In a statement, she wrote: "It is with deepest regret that I had to leave Strictly. I did not come to this decision easily or lightly but for personal reasons, I am unable to continue.

"It was an absolute joy working with my fellow contestants, they are a beautiful, hardworking and talented group of people who I love and who I will miss seeing every Friday and Saturday and competing alongside… I’m so sad that I am unable to go any further.
