Luke Bryan is counting down the days until November 8 as he prepares for a big night close to home in Nashville, Tennessee.
The 'American Idol' judge shared his excitement on Wednesday after it was announced that he will not only host the 2023 CMA Awards, but he will perform during the ceremony too.
Taking to Instagram, Luke penned: "Y'all ready? I'm excited to be back hosting and performing at the #CMAawards this year. Catch me on Country Music’' Biggest Night Wed, Nov. 8 on ABC."
His followers were quick to react and many shared in Luke's excitement over the news, with one responding: "Always ready to watch you on TV." A second said: "Awesome! Will be watching." A third added: "Can't wait!" A fourth wrote: "Awesome! Congrats! Good luck with everything."
Luke isn't the only big name to take to the stage on the night as some of country music's biggest stars have also been lined up to perform.
Who is performing at the 2023 CMA Awards?
The first wave of performers announced were Luke Bryan, Jelly Roll, K. Michelle, Little Big Town, Megan Moroney, Old Dominion, Carly Pearce, Chris Stapleton, Tanya Tucker, and Lainey Wilson.
Five-time nominee and first-time performer, Jelly Roll, will open the show with a not-to-be-missed performance of 'Need a Favor.' He will also take to the stage a second time with first-time CMA Awards performer K. Michelle for a moving rendition of 'Love Can Build a Bridge'.
Luke will deliver a medley of his hits including 'Huntin', Fishin' and Lovin' Every Day,' 'One Margarita,' 'That's My Kind Of Night,' 'Play It Again' and 'Country Girl (Shake It For Me)'. Chris Stapleton will perform his new single 'White Horse,' while the night's most-nominated artist, Lainey Wilson, will take the stage to perform her critically acclaimed song 'Wildflowers and Wild Horses.'
New artists added to the line-up include Kelsea Ballerini, Kenny Chesney, Luke Combs, Dan + Shay, Jordan Davis, HARDY, Alan Jackson, Cody Johnson, Post Malone, Mac McAnally, Ashley McBryde, Morgan Wallen, The War And Treaty, and Zac Brown Band.
There will also be a tribute to recently passed songwriter, cultural force, and CMA Award winner Jimmy Buffett.
Who is hosting the 2023 CMA Awards?
It was announced in May that Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning will reunite once again to co-host the ceremony. Luke and Peyton's return makes them just the fourth hosting team who have presented the CMA Awards more than once.
Mac Davis and Barbara Mandrell co-hosted three years running from 1980-1982. Brooks & Dunn also co-hosted three years in a row from 2004-2006, and Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood fronted the show 11 years in a row, from 2008-2018.
When are the 2023 CMA Awards?
The CMA Awards will take place at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, November 8 from 8 pm – 11 pm ET. Fans can watch the show live on ABC and the next day on Hulu.
Who is nominated at the 2023 CMA Awards?
Lainey Wilson leads the way with nine nominations, including Entertainer of the Year, Single of the Year, and Album of the Year. Jelly Roll has five nominations for Single of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Musical Event of the Year, Music Video of the Year, and New Artist of the Year.
Luke Combs and HARDY picked up four nominations each, and Jordan Davis, Ashley McBryde, Chris Stapleton, and Morgan Wallen each picked up three nominations.
