The Masked Singer left fans shocked on Wednesday night after revealing the latest star to be unmasked – and it’s safe to say that the judges and audience alike were absolutely shocked! It was revealed that Hawk was actually Teen Wolf star Tyler Posey – and the reveal brought the house down!
Speaking about his time on the show, he said: “It’s a pleasure to be here… I’m very flattered that you said I sounded like Billie Joe Armstrong… I love performing, as they have said, and I just wanted a chance to do this. I’m also quite competitive so I’m a little hurt but it’s okay! The Hawk forgives!”
Taking to YouTube to discuss their surprise at the reveal, one person wrote: “I honestly never would have expected him to be on this show! I was so surprised when they revealed him! He was so good on there, sad to see him leave,” while another person added: “I was not expecting at all. Seeing your childhood crush still looking the same and back on tv on your favorite show is a blessing. Teen wolf was a vibe and the way Tyler performed his character was perfection. Thanks for bringing back old memories Mr posey.”
A third person added: “My inner 13 year old self is absolutely shaking! This man was my bread, my butter, my knife AND my toaster. He’s still freaking gorgeous.”
Teen Wolf was a popular show that ran for six seasons between 2011 and 2017, and follows Tyler as Scott, a teenager whose life is changed forever after he becomes a werewolf. The hit show recently had a follow-up movie which was released on Paramount+ in January 2023.
It’s been a very busy time for Tyler, who also tied the knot with his wife, musician Phem, in October. Speaking to ET Online about the wedding, he said: “It was one of the best days of my life. And we just have so much fun with each other. It's really cool, man."
Speaking about his time on The Masked Singer, he added: "I thought I was gonna be nervous, but that never happened. I think that's because I love performing so much. I love giving it my all. Whenever I had the costume on I felt like I could do anything. I felt unstoppable. This was an experience unlike anything else I've ever done."
