This Morning viewers were left a little concerned after ITV's broadcast of Friday's show was abruptly disrupted due to technical issues.
As Friday hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary disappeared from the screen, prerecorded clips of Josie Gibson and Julia Bradbury began to play.
Taking to social media, the show's official X account posted: "Apologies for the technical issues, we'll be back with you as soon as possible!"
Viewers shared their concern in the comments section, with one person writing: "What happened? Is everyone OK?" while another added: "Can someone let us know everything is okay."
Withi a few minutes, the show was back on air. Apologising for the disruption, Alison said: "Welcome back to This Morning. We do apologise, we've been having a few gremlins in the system."
Dermot then joked that guest Gyles Brandreth had been fiddling with the cables backstage, as he admitted: "When I'm on, my wife turns the sound down."
Dermot added: "She was probably loving it! You can turn off now Mrs Brandreth, we're back!"
The disruption comes just weeks after the show made a major change to the presenting line-up with the introduction of radio presenter Siân Welby. The Capital Breakfast host made her debut on the programme back in January, hosting alongside Dermot.
Sharing the exciting news on Instagram, she penned: "Ok... not sure how I've been trusted to do this but… Next week, instead of waking you up on the @capitalofficial breakfast show...I'm going to be sitting next to this legend doing @thismorning. Very surreal. Obviously excited but also quite nervous!! I have to say the whole team has been incredibly supportive and I know I'm in good hands with @dermotolearly - what an incredible opportunity. It hasn't really sunk in yet!"
Siân has gone down a storm with fans of the show, who praised the presenter on social media. One person penned: "I love how much Sian is just energised, interested, researched and knowledgable about each guest. Fantastic hard worker," while another added: "Really enjoying This Morning with Sian and Dermot. Sian is a natural, professional, warm and funny. Love it!"
