Prince Andrew movie Scoop, David Beckham documentary and Sofia Vergara top Emmys nominations

Netflix's Scoop, a re-telling of the now-infamous BBC interview with Prince Andrew, which ultimately led to the suspension of the Duke's royal duties, and David Beckham's titular documentary have both received nominations at the 2024 Emmy Awards.

The Bear set a new record for nominations in a single year in the Comedy category with 23 nominations, while new series Shogun has received 25 nods. Selena Gomez was nominated for the first time for her work on Only Murders in the Building, alongside Steve Martin and Martin Short, while Lily Gladstonend Kali Reis have made history as the first ⁠⁠Indigenous actresses to receive Emmy nods.

Lily stars in Under the Bridge, while Kali is alongside Jodie Foster in True Detective: Night Country. They are both nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or a TV Movie

Scoop stars Rufus Sewell and Gillian Anderson in a recreation of an infamous interview with Prince Andrew

Dick Van Dyke, at 98, has received an Emmy nominations for Best Variety Special (Pre-Recorded), while the Best Limited or Anthology Series spots went to Baby Reindeer, Fargo, Lessons In Chemistry, Ripley and True Detective: Night Country.

Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston will go up against each other for their work on The Morning Show, while Scoop goes up against Mr. Monk's Last Case: A Monk Movie, Quiz Lady,  Red, White & Royal Blue and Unfrosted for Best TV Movie.
