Judge Bruno Tonioli described Jake as being "pumped-up like a prizefighter" before the couple were awarded with a total of 33 points. The pair were matched by Caroline Flack and Pasha Kovalev's Quickstep to We Go Together from Grease, that closed the show in spectacular style. Singers Frankie Bridge and Pixie Lott were both awarded 32 points and placed in second spot.

Frankie and dance partner Kevin Clifton were the first to hit the dancefloor with a fantastic Cha Cha to Carly Rae Jepson's hit Call Me Maybe. Pixie Lott became emotional after dancing a Rumba to Stay With Me by Sam Smith, which also earned her an impressive 32.

Judge Bruno said it was the "most wonderful mood of love" he had seen in the studio, with fellow judge Craig Revel Horwood describing it as "exquisite".Unfortunately not all performances earned praises from the judges. Tim Wonnacott and Natalie Lowe's Paso Doble was highly critised. Bruno jibed that Tim "looked less raging bull and more mildly irritated goat." But the worst score of the night was given to Scott Mills and Joanne Clifton. Craig declared that the BBC Radio 1 presenter "was the exception to the rule that anyone can learn to dance" and Bruno described their American Smooth as an "American nightmare". They were awarded 15 points, the lowest score of the series.
