Tina O'Brien is returning to Coronation Street, seven years after leaving the popular ITV soap. The actress, 31, who plays Corrie favourite Sarah-Louise Platt, will start filming early next year but her return to Weatherfield won't be aired until spring.

Speaking of her comeback, Tina said: "I am delighted to be returning. Sarah has a lot of history and unfinished business on the street and I'm looking forward to finding out what she's been up to and why she's returned home." The second-time mum will be joined by character's now teenage daughter Bethany, who seems to have grown up into something of a wild child.

The exciting news comes a week after Tina became a mum for a second time last week. The TV favourite and her boyfriend Adam Crofts welcomed a baby boy, whose name is yet to be revealed.
A source close to the star revealed: "Tina and Adam are over the moon with their new arrival. They are a really down-to-earth couple and everyone in the area is delighted for them." Tina, 31, has been dating Adam Crofts, who is a personal trainer, for three years. The couple were brought together by the actress' five-year-old daughter Scarlett, whose father is Ryan Thomas – Tina's former Corrie co-star
