In the film, which starred the late Robin Williams as a grown-up Peter Pan who must return to Neverland to rescue his two children who have been kidnapped by Captain Hook, the Lost Boys play a pivotal role in helping Peter remember who he really is, and are led by the now-iconic bad boy character, Rufio.
Dante, who played Rufio, shared a snap of the photoshoot
Dante Basco, who played Rufio, and the rest of the Lost Boys opened up in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. Dante joked about his famous costume, and how his teenage self hated the idea of showing off his belly button. He said: "When we did this outfit, which looks totally cool now, you've got to understand when you're 15 and you're in this Stephen Spielberg movie…you wanna look cool. I don't know how cool I looked with my belly button out."
Thomas Tulak, who played the youngest Lost Boy 'Too Small', spoke about his time on set, saying: "I had no idea the gravity of what was going on. I was just playing around."
'Sooner' actor Brian Willis joked: "I watch it all the time. When it comes on my wife makes fun of me."
The actors paid tribute to Robin
They also paid tribute to the late Robin saying: "He was so so very…just as goofy as he was gentle. He kept the set very alive. He made sure he had a relationship with each and every one of us.
"I think his power was his reach and to make everybody feel so great."
When they were asked what they would want to say to him now, Thomas said: "In two words, thank you. And a lot of the things we became so many years later are directly because of him."
