Vanessa Hudgens showed that she is not afraid to experiment with her beauty look as she unveiled a bold new hair colour on Friday. The High School Musical star revealed that she had dyed her brunette locks a bright shade of red, in two photos on Instagram.

The 25-year-old revealed that she had opted to become a red head because of the seasons changing, notably the arrival of Halloween at the end of the month. "Someone (ME) is very excited for Halloween," she captioned one of the photos. "Meaning I had to dye my hair to match the season. Hallelujah for @ninezeroone and @riawnacapti @nikkilee901 for making this happen with @greatlengthsusa #VAMP."

Vanessa had previously hinted that she was changing her look when she posted a photo of herself getting her hair washed, with red dye pouring down the sink. "I hit my head... Am I bleeding???" she quipped in the image's caption.
