The Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, seems to have taken some pregnancy dressing tips from her cousin-in-law Zara Phillips. The pregnant royal undertook her first engagement of the year on Thursday wearing a shift dress by Madderson London, a label that dressed Zara during her pregnancy.
Kate was radiant as she undertook her first official engagement of the year
The navy blue cool dress trimmed with French tweed, titled the 'Naomi', showed off Kate's prominent baby bump. The striking brunette paired the design with thick black tights and black pumps. Kate was visiting Barlby Primary School. It's an engagement that she had to postpone last year due to her acute morning sickness. The radiant Duchess beamed and waved to the waiting crowds of youngsters as she arrived at the school to open The Art Room's ninth project, The Clore.

In her role as royal patron of The Art Room, an Oxford-based charity which provides art therapy rooms to help enrich the lives of disadvantaged children , Kate unveiled the colourful new space. Whilst heavily pregnant with her first child, daughter Mia Grace, Zara attended a formal dinner with her husband Mike Tindall wearing the £265 Madderson London 'Coco' knee-length black dress. While the brand originally stocked only maternity wear, they launched womenswear last year – it's thought that Kate is actually wearing a dress from the womenswear range.
