Kylie Jenner caused a stir last week when, after months of speculation, she admitted to having temporary lip fillers injected into her pout. Beauty icon Kim Kardashian revealed in an episode of Keeping up with the Kardashians that she completely supports her half-sister's decision.
Kylie Jenner spoke to Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner about her lips
"Your lips look amazing," said the 34-year-old. "I don't want you to get carried away, lips aren't permanent, but if [the media] ask about your lips, own up to it."
Kim, who is married to rapper Kanye West, is no stranger to being scrutinised for her looks – the star is renowned for her flawless make-up and high fashion ensembles. She suggested that Kylie be upfront about the cosmetic surgery to avoid too much media attention.
"We've all had our own insecurities and it's nothing to be ashamed of," she said. "It's just handling it the right way. If someone asks you about your lips, just be honest. Just tell them, it's not that big of a deal. Just make sure you keep everything subtle and don't go overboard."
Kylie recently admitted to having temporary lip fillers
Meanwhile Kylie's older sister Kendall was struggling to understand why her sister had opted for the surgery. "No one needs anything," she told Kylie and Kim. "Everybody looks beautiful."
It seems it's not the first time the 19-year-old has voiced her opinion. "Kendall said they look too big yesterday," Kylie had previously admitted in a teaser clip for the reality TV show.
The 17-year-old has previously taken to social media to express her frustration at the attention she was receiving for her fuller lips. "How long are we gonna talk about this lip thing lmao," she wrote on Twitter.
Despite having denied that she had cosmetic surgery back in April, Kylie decided to come clean with fans. "I have temporary lip fillers, it's just an insecurity of mine and it's what I wanted to do," she told the camera.
