Sienna Miller does gothic chic at Cannes Film Festival

May 18, 2015

It may be Sienna Miller's first time at the Cannes Film Festival, but the 33-year-old has already rocked ensembles that will see her go down in history as one of the glitzy event's best-dressed attendees. However, it's not just her fashion that has turned heads – on Sunday night Sienna upped the beauty stakes as she arrived for the premiere of Carol.

Sienna Miller has been making waves at the Cannes Film Festival with her chic fashion and beauty looks

The British beauty showed off her edgy side as she posed with fellow festival juror Xavier Dolan, complementing her elegant black star maxi print Sonia Rykiel dress and cape with a bold gothic-esque beauty look. Never one to shy away from making a statement on the red carpet, the American Sniper star stole the show as she styled her blonde bob in an elegant halo braid.

Sienna was as fresh-faced as ever with radiant skin, opting for minimal make-up save for a slick of burgundy lipstick and a touch of mascara. The fashion icon was not joined by fiancé Tom Sturridge for the glamorous event on the French Riviera – Tom is currently starring in new play American Buffalo at the Wyndham Theatre in London.

It's not the first time that Sienna has wowed at Cannes – she made her dazzling debut wearing a sleek taupe gown by Balenciaga as she joined her fellow jurors, including actor Jake Gyllenhaal, on the first day of the star-studded event.

It comes as no surprise that Sienna has already conquered the film festival with her impeccable style – recent months have seen the Alfie star making a triumphant return to the spotlight after keeping a relatively low profile to spend time with her daughter Marlowe, to whom she gave birth in 2012.

Despite fashionistas around the world looking to Sienna for style inspiration, the The Edge of Love star has revealed she tries not to think too much about what she wears.

"I love fashion but I'm not obsessed by it," she told French newspaper Le Figaro. "I love work, my style, but I don't think only about that, even though some people want to believe the contrary. I don't wake up in the morning saying, 'Hmm, what an icon I am!'"
