Contouring took over the beauty world last year. But the make-up trend now has a younger, cooler cousin that looks set to rival the craze: strobing.
Make-up artists and beauty bloggers have pioneered the trend that gives a chiselled look without the painterly effect of contouring. In effect, it's contouring without the darkness.
But how easy is it to master the technique? We talk to Benefit's Head Make-up Artist Lisa Potter-Dixon to get the lowdown...
"Blend a liquid highlighter such as Benefit's High Beam all over your face before applying foundation," she told us.
"Then apply a second layer of highlighter where the light would naturally hit your face – your cheekbones, brow bones, the centre of your forehead, bridge of your nose, chin and cupid's bow."
Applying highlighter here will make your complexion look radiant, fresh and healthy.
"If you'd prefer to look less like a beautiful disco ball, then tone it down by only applying the highlighter to your cheekbones, under your brow bones and down the centre of your nose."
Strobing is the perfect natural summer look – we're big fans!
