Cara Delevingne's latest YSL beauty campaign may be one of her most daring to date. The 23-year-old shows off her incredible figure as she smoulders for the camera wearing only one of the brand's iconic tailored black blazers.
Cara Delevingne wows in her new campaign for YSL
The striking image, shot by renowned photograpger Craig McDean, sees the model looking as effortlessly cool as ever as she reclines in a leather armchair wearing YSL Beauté's Rouge Pur Couture lipstick, with her blonde locks tumbling down and her famously bushy eyebrows flawlessly groomed for a touch of old Hollywood glamour.
In a statement by YSL, the label describes the lipstick as a "powerful statement, minminalist, edgy and forever stylish", before revealing the YSL woman is "audacious, free-spirited and empowered" – all of which Cara embodies as she smoulders for the camera.
The new campaign could be one of her last major modelling jobs for a while. The British beauty recently revealed that she is planning to leave the world of fashion to focus on her burgeoning acting career.
Cara and the rest of the Suicide Squad cast
"I am not doing fashion work anymore," she said in a candid new interview with The Times. "Modelling just made me feel a bit hollow after a while. It didn't make me grow at all as a human being. And I kind of forgot how young I was… I felt so old."
The star admitted that the amount of travelling and long working hours also put a strain on her wellbeing. "It wasn't a good time," she said. "I was, like, fight and flight for months. Just constantly on edge. It is a mental thing as well because if you hate yourself and your body and the way you look, it just gets worse and worse."
The news that Cara will be focusing on her acting career has not come as a surprise to her fans – the star has always been open about her ambitions. She recently starred in her first major leading role in the film adaptation of John Green's novel Paper Towns, and also has a leading role in the highly-anticipated upcoming superhero film Suicide Squad, as part of a star-studded cast including Will Smith, Margot Robbie and Jared Leto.
