Sniffle season is upon us *sad face*. But instead of reaching for the Berocca when you feel a cold coming on, follow the celebs and whip up some DIY juices to ward off that dreaded winter flu.

Not sure where to start? Lily Rogath and Meryl Zises, founders of Imbibery juices (the brand loved by top make-up artist, Bobbi Brown, A-list accessory designer, Charlotte Simone and Made in Chelsea star, Rosie Fortescue) reveal what they’re glugging right now to keep them fighting fit.

The fruity non-alcoholic hot toddy

  1. Juice an apple then pop it on the stove and squeeze in the juice from ¼ of a lemon.
  2. Add in ½ tbsp. of cinnamon, ¼ tbsp. cardamom and 1 tspn of apple cider vinegar.
  3. Just before it gets to boiling point, take it off the heat and serve!

The nice and nutty immune-boosting smoothie

  1. Blend 1 cup of brazil nuts with 3 cups of water (strain if you prefer your nut milk thinner).
  2. Then add in half a piece of turmeric, an inch worth of ginger and 2 teaspoons of coconut oil and pulse until you get your glass of super creamy goodness.

The hardcore flu-fighting veggie juice

  1. Take ½ cup of cashews, blend until creamy then set aside.
  2. In a pan, add two red peppers, half an onion and half a clove of garlic and sauté.
  3. Pop the veg and nuts in your blender, season with Himalayan salt and cracked black pepper and voila! Drink it cold or warm it up soup style!
