Lady Gaga and her father have matching tattoos in honour of her late aunt
"Got Joanne tattooed on my arm in her actual signature," the 30-year-old explained in the caption to her 19.2 million followers. "My dad got one too. With an angel on his shoulder."
In the photo, the 30-year-old showed off the body art by rocking a short-sleeved white crop top featuring 'Lady Gaga' stitched onto the chest, paired with pale blue jeans. She accessorised with sunglasses, and a pale pink wide rimmed hat.
Her choice of accessory was particularly poignant, as it appears to be the same hat which the singer sports on the cover of her latest album, also a tribute to her aunt with its title Joanne.

The Bad Romance hitmaker has opened up about the influence her aunt had on her, despite the fact that the pair never got acquainted. "I never met her, but she's been one of the most important figures in my life," the singer has previously revealed.

Fans have been surprised that the singer's father agreed to get a matching inking with his daughter, as she has previously admitted he asked her not to overdo it when it came to her already impressive collection of body art.
"He asked that I remain, on one side, slightly normal," she admitted during a visit to Google in 2011. "So I only have my tattoos on my left side. I think he sees [my right] as my Marilyn Monroe side, and he sees [my left] as my Iggy Pop side."
Even with this new inking, Lady Gaga has stayed true to her father's request – her 'Joanne' tattoo is on her left arm.
