Cities across the UK all have certain stereotypes about the way residents speak, act and look, with the expectations extending to beauty too. But beauty e-tailer Escentual.com has looked into whether there is any truth to the typecasting with its 2016 Cosmetics Map, which compares sales of products on the site across different regions.
Looking at the map it appears there is some truth to the beauty stereotypes; while Essex girls love nails and hair care, women in Liverpool were more likely to invest in eyebrow pencils and shaping products.
