The Duchess of Cambridge's long wavy curls have been listed as the most iconic hairstyle in a round-up of the top 50 beauty trends of all time. Kate's signature do was voted sixth overall in the poll, which was carried out by Superdrug.
Topping the list was red lipstick, a classic look that has long been favoured by stars including Marilyn Monroe and Scarlett Johansson. It was followed by smoky eyes – another look Kate loves for her red carpet and gala appearances.

Adele's signature winged eyeliner came third, while French manicures and natural looking make-up completed the top five.
Sarah Gardner, Head of Beauty at Superdrug, which conducted the study of 2,000 women, said: "Women's beauty and fashion changes from one day to the next, but as this survey suggests, there are some beauty looks which will go down in history as being the most iconic.
"Make-up trends such as having red lips and smoky eyes will always be ones women fall back on as they suit so many people."
