Drew Barrymore

Celebrity hairstylist Jason Collier explains how to recreate Drew's long, loose waves.

"I absolutely love this effortless hair look. Undone hair has been a major trend and Drew Barrymore proves that it shouldn't go anywhere. It's a perfect mix of boho and glamour, and it's that hairstyle of an immaculately dressed woman on the streets of Paris.

"Whilst your hair might look great from the get go, there are still some useful tips on how to make it look exactly the way you want it to – chic and stylish. So here we go!"

  1. Start off with spritzing your hair with a salt spray while it’s still damp. You want all the texture you can get! Then, blow-dry it with your head down to ensure you have a lot of volume. Now create your middle parting.

  2. Next, grab a curling wand (you want it to be wide for loose curls, I’d recommend 38mm like the Toni&Guy Salon Professional Jumbo Tong) and curl your hair. Make sure that the strands you’re curling are quite thick and you keep them on the tool for a short time. How long your hair should be touching the tool is hugely dependant on the natural texture and thickness of your strands, but as a general rule, I’d suggest half the time of when you usually curl it.

  3. Since you don’t want the locks to be too defined, take your fingers through them while the hair is still warm. For a messier look, you can curl the strands in alternate directions, it’s a great trick to get these effortless beachy waves. Lastly, spritz your lengths with a matte hair spray, like Redken Wind Blown Dry Finishing Spray or a texturizing spray, I’ve been enjoying the OUAI Texturising Hair Spray. And there you are – the queen of chic!

Gina Rodriguez

Jane The Virgin star Gina Rodriguez channelled old Hollywood glamour for her appearance on the red carpet. Joico hair stylist Paul Norton said he was inspired by the movie Cabaret when styling Gina's hair into her gorgeous finger waved style.

Get the Look:

·I started prepping the hair with Joico Power Whip and tousled dry pushing the hair all to one side off a deep part. I also took a round brush only on the hair line to get it smooth.

· I then began on the lighter side in the back and began to start to put a gentle bend in the hair with a 1 inch iron, taking 1 inch sections and spraying JoiShape Shaping & Finishing Spray to each section prior to curling.

· I curled each side away from the face wrapping the hair over the iron and leaving the ends out for a more modern vibe . As I got to the hair around the face I began to use small silver clips to keep the hair off the face so it could cool and give a nice s-shape wave.

· Once her curls cooled, I used KPAK Protect and Shine Serum to help me finger come though the the hair adding tons of shine.

·Taking a large comb to help detail and place the hair, I then began to spray Joico Power Spray to help keep the hair into position as well as giving me a strong hold to keep back Gina's previously shaved side which is now growing out back and way from her face.

· Lastly, I used Joico Hair Shake just on the ends for separation and finished the look with not only more power spray. After seeing the completed look, I decided that I wanted more glimmer, so I added a once over with Joico Gold Dust Shimmer Spray to match to sparkle of the dress!
