It has been 23 years since first appeared on our screen as the fresh-faced, clean freak Monica Geller in TV classic Friends. But at 52-years-old actress Courteney Cox is still looking amazing thanks, in part, to a thoroughly British face cream. The US star has become addicted to a skin serum costing a reasonable £35 from quietly cult English cosmetics brand Katherine Daniels.

Courteney Cox's anti-ageing skincare secret has been revealed

Courteney was introduced to the company's 'Urban Shield Concentrate' when sitting in the make-up chair during filming for hit BBC export Who Do You Think You Are? Make-up artist Gemma Aldous who worked with Courteney Cox on the US show said: "I gave Courteney the Katherine Daniels Urban Shield as I used it on her daily and she absolutely LOVED it." She went on to add: "The Urban Shield Concentrate is so moisturising and hydrating, I just love it myself. It's fantastic applied as a pre-moisturiser as its absorbs into the skin leaving it feeling hydrated and smooth. A great addition to your pre-makeup application or pre-sleep regime."

Amazingly good genes clearly also play a big part in Courteney’s evergreen beauty. During filming the actress discovered that her maternal line spanned seven centuries and includes British royalty no less. "We're talking someone in my family killed the King of England?" the Golden Globe nominee asked in the show, which is only airing in the US on the channel TLC.

The serum that Courteney uses is a super-hydrating serum that is soothing, skin boosting and works to tackle dehydration lines and reduce open pores. It can be applied under moisturiser and make-up or used as a night treatment. Designed to hydrate the skin and improve its defence mechanisms, the concentrate boosts the skin’s normal moisture levels, preventing moisture loss and smoothing fine lines and wrinkles. The serum is available at salons, spas and clinics or from katherinedanielscosmetics.com/.
