Shay Mitchell unveils top beauty tips in debut tutorial - watch here!

The actress has a YouTube channel

Shay Mitchell has shared some of her favourite beauty tips in a YouTube tutorial. The Pretty Little Liars actress always steps out on the red carpet in eye-catching ensembles, and is building up quite the reputation for experimenting with her make-up looks.

Shay launched her YouTube channel over the weekend, with her video already racking up over two million views, and the star took the opportunity to share her top tricks - such as applying Tarte's Shape Tape concealer prior to her La Mer foundation.

"Because this is a little bit warmer, I am not going to be doing this on the areas that I am highlighting after," Shay explained while dabbing on her foundation. "I am doing this on the areas that I am going to be bronzing and want to make warmer."

The 30-year-old's bronzer of choice is Milani's Baked Bronzer in Soleil, which she layers on and then contours with the CoverFX cream palette.

But Shay hasn't adopted the make-up "baking" trend used by some celebrities, such as Kim Kardashian, in which they allow powder to set before blending.

"I know there was that whole trend on baking. Does that really make a difference? Do I need to set a timer and like make sure I leave it on for that amount of time? I don't know. I feel like you just put it on and it soaks up regardless of the amount of time you have it on," she added.

When it comes to her other make-up kit staples, Shay swears by the eyeshadow hues in the Jaclyn Hill x Morphe Palette, and highlighter from Charlotte Tilbury's Filmstar Bronze & Glow Palette.

And while the brunette beauty loves playing with cosmetics, she remains adamant that she isn't an expert.

"I am all about trying out different things. I may not be a professional chef or be a great cook, but I am going to try my hand at it and the same goes for this," she shared. "I am not a professional make-up artist. I am not a professional beauty blogger. But I had a curiosity about it and I feel like I could do it too, so I am. And that is just how I live my life."
