New year, new you! Jennifer Garner has shared a playful throwback photo on Instagram, poking fun at herself as she sported facial hair and a strawberry blonde wig. The Hollywood actress was a far cry from her usual glamorous self with stubble and a moustache, while some fans commented that she bore a striking resemblance to Eddie Redmayne, James Franco and Ryan Reynolds. "Wow! Brilliant," replied one follower. "If your twin was a boy," another posted.
Jennifer revealed that she underwent the transformation for a film in 2011, which she didn't end up starring in. In her jokey caption, "New Year, New Me," the mother-of-three explained that she didn't realise she was pregnant at the time and added: "#babiesarebetterthanmovies". The Daredevil star would have been pregnant with her and ex-husband Ben Affleck's youngest child – their son Sam – who was born in February 2012. The ex-couple also share two daughters: Violet, 12, and Seraphina, eight.

Jennifer and Ben announced their split in June 2015 in a joint statement that read: "After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce. We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time. This will be our only comment on this private, family matter. Thank you for understanding." Their divorce was finalised in 2017.

A few months ago, Jennifer admitted that she is not ready to date again following her split. The doting mum told news.com.au: "I haven't been on a date and I am not interested in dating. People want to set me up and I am just like, 'No thank you!'" She continued: "I would not have chosen this life for myself or for my kids. I would not choose to be single or be in this position. It's something that we are working through."
