Anne Hathaway's new bleached blonde hairstyle stole the show at the Metropolitan Gala 2013 in New York this week. Since debuting her surprise colour change, the actress has since styled her new 'do to perfection on her most recent outings.Attending the Tate Americas Foundation Artists Dinner, Anne, 30, recreated a look based on Andy Warhol's iconic muse, Edie Sedgwick.
The famous Factory Girl image features defined brows, bold eyes, pared-down lips and platinum locks parted to the side. Anne pulled off the style by keeping her eyes defined with lashings of mascara and eyeliner and complemented her lighter locks with a chic baby-pink mini-dress. Sarah Jessica Parker also attended the event wearing a fitted floral floor-length gown and Anne was joined by her husband Adam Shulman who sported a tartan tuxedo for the occasion.Spotted earlier that day on a walk with her dog, Esmeralda, Anne Hathaway kept her blonde locks naturally ruffled before styling it for the evening's event.
This is the most drastic colour change in Anne's career but the actress similarly made the headlines last year when she shaved off her previously long locks for a character role in the musical adaptation, Les Miserables. The Catwoman star is among a list of celebrities to have lightened up their locks in the past couple of months. Oscar-winner Jennifer Lawrence recently added highlights to her new haircut while singer Rihanna opted for a more summery shade to her tresses as she celebrated the success of her new make-up line with MAC cosmetics.
