Washing
To keep your curls under control and looking their best, it's important to have the right tools. You'll need to use a shampoo, conditioner and deep treatment product when you wash your tresses to protect them, and get them in tip top shape ahead of styling. Shampoo and conditioner work hand-in-hand to help define and moisturise the curls, and should both be used whenever you wash your hair. The deep treatment however only needs to be used at least once a week. For best results, apply it from half way along the hair and down to the tips. Leave it in for a minute so it can properly act, but if you have the time you can leave it in a little bit longer for glossier results.
Use mousse
After washing your hair, pat away excess water with a towel. Then, apply a small amount of foam, about the size of a walnut, smoothing it through the hair downwards towards the tips.

Drying
Depending on the amount of time you have, you can either leave your tresses to dry naturally, or use a hairdryer. If you choose the latter option, it's important to use a diffuser and heat protective spray to avoid damage. Once your hair is dry, your curls can be left naturally, or you can use curling tongs to make them looser or tighter. If you're going for looser waves, make sure to use a flat brush to gently brush through the curls.
The final touch
Once you have achieved the look you were aiming for, make sure it stays put by applying a spritz of hairspray. Spray it all over your hair, but also try and focus strand by strand on the specific curls that are critical to your overall look, or any you particularly want to stand out.
