Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is never one to shy away from experimenting with different hairstyles and colours, and her most recent look may be one of her boldest yet. In the striking selfie, Cheryl shows off her sleek bright red bob, however fans were delighted to spot her dad accidentally photobombing the close-up snap as he tried to avoid being in the picture. "Dad: "what ye deeing" "wait til I git doon these stairs" Got him !!" Cheryl quipped in the tongue-in-cheek caption. "#rundadrun @ellenoradean thanks for the color refresh".

Aside from the commotion, the Crazy Stupid Love singer looked stunning in the selfie, with her colourful bob styled into sleek, straight style. She complemented the striking new colour by wearing minimal make-up save for dramatic black mascara and eyeliner.

The former Girls Aloud singer is no stranger to being a redhead. She opted for the colourful shade when she was a judge on The X Factor in 2010, and with the star reportedly returning to the series which kicks off later this year, fans will no doubt be once again rushing to salons to try and recreate her look. Recent years have seen her favouring a glossy brunette shade, but she surprised fans last month when she revealed she had dyed her locks into a soft shade of red.

It seems that Cheryl loved the fresh new look so much that she was keen to go for an even brighter shade, marking a fresh new look for the Fight for this Love singer just in time for the summer.
