As she prepares to celebrate a milestone birthday next month as she turns 30, Lily Allen has unveiled a dramatic new look to mark the occasion. The mother-of-two revealed that she had dyed her blonde bob into shades of bright green and pink, inspired by the summery fruit watermelon, debuting her edgy new hair colour on Instagram on Thursday.

The Hard out Here singer proudly showed off her new look later that day as she headed into West Hollywood for a spot of shopping. She completed the ensemble with black leather strappy flatform sandals and retro rounded sunglasses with reflective lenses, carrying all of her essentials in a brown rucksack.

The new hairstyle comes just a few weeks after Lily revealed she had chopped her hair into a short bob and fringe in a shade of platinum blonde. The pop star is no stranger to rocking vibrant and edgy hairstyles. She has dyed her hair in various different bright colours including blue, pink, green and yellows, as well as experimenting with different lengths including everything from pixie cuts to long, tousled waves.
Lily is currently residing in Los Angeles as she records new music. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the star's next release - the singer has been keeping a relatively low profile in recent months, save for a performance at the Monaco Rose Ball last month, and an appearance at the pre-Oscars party hosted by Chanel.
