Selena Gomez has been named as the new face of Pantene. The brunette beauty shared the exciting news on Tuesday, saying it's a "dream come true" to be working with the hair care brand.
"I've always loved using Pantene, so it’s a dream come true to be the brand's newest ambassador," Selena said to announce the news. "Not only because Pantene stands for strong, healthy hair but also because it encourages women to be their best selves.
"My style is constantly evolving and I love to take risks, so I'm always changing my hair style. I rely on Pantene to keep my hair strong and healthy so I can take on each day with confidence."
The 22-year-old also shared the news with her 34.2 million Instagram followers by posting a couple of images from the new campaign.
"I am so happy to announce my new partnership with Pantene! #SelenaxPantene #strongisbeautiful @pantenehair" Selena wrote on Instagram as she unveiled the collaboration.
The I Want You to Know singer later shared another photo from the campaign which showed her with her long brown hair tied back into a sleek ponytail whilst wearing a white Pantene robe.
"@pantenehair pic by @byjakebailey #babyhairs," the singer captioned the photo.
The stunning portrait attracted over one million likes from fans, who commented on how "beautiful" Selena looked, with some saying they were proud of the former Disney star for landing the campaign.
With her gorgeous long brown wavy locks, Selena was an obvious choice for the hair care brand. The singer and actress has previously collaborated with Adidas Neo to design and model her own clothing line, but this is the first time she has been a brand ambassador for a beauty company.
The achievement continues a great year for Selena, which has seen her land roles in a number of new films, including The Revised Fundamentals of Caregiving with Paul Rudd. The popular singer also played a starring role as Arsyn in the music video for her friend Taylor Swift's single Bad Blood.
