We recently spoke to Christophe Robin, Global Hair Colourist at L'Oreal Paris, who shared some tips for those thinking of going bronde. "Those wanting to go bronde (without tipping over the edge into full-on blonde), should take the time to find the right tone,’ says Christophe. "The correct one should be two or, at most, three shades above your natural colour. "Here's how to master this season's biggest trend…Pick the right shade for you: If you have a tan or green eyes try golden tones in your hair as these can enhance your features. However, if you're quite pale skinned, try sticking to sandy or neutral shades of blonde, as gold can exaggerate pink tones. For a sun-kissed look: If you're after a slightly matte look as if you've been to the beach, then apply the dye by simply brushing it through the hair in a natural movement to create sparse, natural looking variations in tone. For a high-shine colour: Apply the colour uniquely to the bottom of your tresses. This will give a chic dip dye effect, perfect for glamorous events this summer. For an edgy look: Focus the colour around the sections that frame your face and the ends of your locks. The high-contrast effect of this look is sure to turn heads – avoid this if you're trying bronde for the first time as this can be quite a bold look. For a new home bronde kit try L’Oréal Paris Préférence Glam Bronde RRP, £7.49.
