Lily James has gone for the chop. The 26-year-old actress unveiled a brand new look as she made a special appearance at Comic-Con this week, having ditched her long blonde Cinderella hair for shorter, darker tresses. Lily showcased a shoulder-length, textured cut that perfectly framed her face. A natural brunette, she also returned to her natural colour, after going blonde to play the Disney princess.

Lily is by no means the first star to make big changes after a film role; Emma Watson famously cut her hair into a pixie crop as soon as her ten-year contract with Harry Potter came to an end, and Kristen Stewart also went for a shorter, more androgynous style after finishing Twilight.Lily certainly turned heads as she hit the red carpet in San Diego on Saturday. She wore a low-cut embellished black dress that featured a split up the front as she stepped out to promote her new film, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies with her co-stars – including boyfriend Matt Smith. The couple looked very sweet and very much in love as they took part in a joint interview that same day, giggling together and sitting with their arms wrapped around each other as they chatted on radio at Comic-Con International 2015.

Lily's low-profile romance with former Doctor Who star Matt, 32, came to light last October when they were caught on camera sharing a kiss. They went public with their romance at the Milan premiere of Cinderella in February. The couple remain coy when it comes to talking about their relationship. "In regards to your love life, you're just entering into a whole lot of pain if you talk about it," the actress told InStyle UK magazine in January. "If you've never said anything, there are no sound bites to haunt you when you're crying into a box of Kleenex after it all goes wrong."
