Jennifer Lawrence debuts platinum blonde bob

November 3, 2015

Jennifer Lawrence once again upped the beauty stakes this week, debuting a stunning platinum blonde bob. The 25-year-old actress turned heads with her bold new 'do as she joined Hunger Games co-stars Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth for a Hand and Footprint ceremony outside the Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles.

Jennifer Lawrence debuted a platinum bob

The Kentucky-born actress was as radiant as ever as she showed off her eye-catching hairstyle by wearing it down in loose waves, sticking to minimal make-up save for a slick of black mascara. Jennifer also wowed with her outfit, opting for a chic white sleeveless crop top paired with a printed full skirt.

This is not the first time that Jennifer has gone for the chop. She previously rocked a wavy bob, but recent months have seen her growing out her hair past her shoulders, prompting speculation that her decision to cut her hair is because of her role in Passengers, a sci-fi film she's currently filming alongside Chris Pratt.

This also marks the first time that Jennifer has gone for a platinum blonde shade, a stark contrast to her usually golden toned tresses.

It proved a particularly exciting day for the Hunger Games: Mockingjay star, as she, Josh and Liam embedded their handprints for the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

There's no doubt that Jennifer has made her mark in the film industry – earlier this year she was named the world's highest-paid actress by Forbes magazine, following her work in high profile films such as Silver Linings Playbook and her lucrative contract with French fashion house Dior.

However, despite her success, Jennifer has previously admitted that she still feels "insecure" about her fame.

"I get really insecure about it," she explained in a candid interview with the New York Times. "The world makes an opinion of you without ever meeting you. That worry should not bother me, but it does. It bothers me."
