Kim Kardashian has rocked a series of bold hairstyles throughout the years, experimenting with a wide range of styles and colours from a sleek long black tresses to a striking platinum blonde bob. The 35-year-old looked back at her past hairstyles on Thursday, revealing some of her favourite looks.

The Keeping up with the Kardashians star, who took over the Kardashian Beauty Hair's account on Instagram for the day, opened about one of her most dramatic makeovers – when she unveiled a platinum blonde hairstyle for Paris Fashion Week.
A stark contrast to her usually black or dark brown shades, Kim caused a social media frenzy when she stepped out with husband Kanye West for the Balmain show.

"It took multiple sittings and was probably the most drastic change I've ever made, but I loved it! #KKWtakeover," she wrote alongside a snap of her edgy look.

Kim also opened up about another trip to the salon which saw her chopping her famously long tresses into a shoulder-length bob. "I went short for the Grammys. This is the shortest I've gone," she said. "We added lots of volume and keep the look a little untidy."
She added: "I'm really loving @khloekardashian's new shorter look though!"
North West's mother did reveal a surprising fact about one of her slightly pared-down looks, when she admitted that – like little sister Kylie Jenner – she had favoured a wig to try a new style back in 2009.

"I had everyone fooled with this look back in April, 2009, which was really a wig," she confessed. "But this actually inspired me to dye by hair blonde a few months after this pic was taken. #KKWtakeover."
Nowadays, the reality TV star admitted she has one hairstyle she continues to favour both on and off the red carpet. "A sleek ponytail is one of my go-to looks at the moment," she admitted.

Kim also gave fans an insight into her haircare routine, revealing how often she cleans her tresses. "I usually wash my hair maybe every 3-5 days and on the third or fourth day I'll do a slicked-back ponytail. I get my hair super straight first with our ceramic iron."
It's not just a slicked back look which the style icon favours. "Center part, subtle waves, slightly messy. One of my favorite looks!" she said. "This style I will do the day after I wash my hair and use our dry shampoo."
