Nicole Richie had us reaching for the hair dye as she debuted a striking new silver hairstyle on Monday night. The 34-year-old showed off her edgy beauty credentials as she flaunted her new 'do as she attended a party hosted by The Line in Los Angeles.

The mother-of-two paired her eye-catching pale grey locks with a vampy dark berry glossy lipstick, completing the look with pale pink metallic eyeshadow and dramatically long eyelashes.
The American beauty, who was adopted by legendary singer Lionel Richie when she was nine years old, is no stranger to experimenting with the colour of her tresses.
She has already dyed her hair the colours of the rainbow with shades including purple, pink, blue, black and blonde – and she even stepped out with completely white tresses for the 2013 Met Gala, topping beauty lists around the globe.

Recent months had seen her rocking a bold platinum blonde shade, styled into an on-trend short bob, but it seems that the star was after a fresh new colour ahead of the festive season.

Earlier this year, the star faced rumours that she was splitting from husband Joel Madden – but dad Lionel quickly set the record straight. "It's completely untrue," he told HELLO! magazine at the time. "They've bought a new house and the moving van was pulling up at their old house to move to the new one. Hence the story they are breaking up."
