Anne Hathaway had jaws dropping to the floor when she unveiled a brand new hairstyle on Monday. The 33-year-old, who is currently pregnant with her first child, took to Instagram to reveal she has had her hair cut into a long bob – and dyed into a striking shade of blonde.
The Les Misérables star posted a gorgeous selfie as she enjoyed a day out making the most of the sunshine. "Be honest. Did I unwittingly dress like a fashion scarecrow this morning?" she quipped in the caption to her 2.5 million followers as she headed outside in a checked shirt, blue jacket and matching navy blue hat, accessorising with oversized sunglasses.
Although Anne is renowned for her trademark brunette locks, it's not the first time the The Devil Wears Prada actress has experimented with blonder hues. In 2013 she made waves when she rocked a platinum blonde pixie cut – however this time around Anne appears to have gone for warmer honey shades.
Anne and husband Adam are expecting their first child
The star looked happy and healthy, as she and husband Adam Shulman prepare to welcome their first child. After weeks of speculation, Anne confirmed her pregnancy, taking to Instagram to share a striking bikini shot of herself flaunting her baby bump.
"Happy 2016 to my beautiful Instafriends! So, posting a bikini pic is a little out of character for me, but just now while I was at the beach I noticed I was being photographed," she wrote.
Anne has experimented with blonde hair before
"I figure if this kind of photo is going to be out in the world it should at least be an image that makes me happy (and be one that was taken with my consent. And with a filter :). Wishing you love, light and blessings for the year ahead! Annie."
The American beauty has since told fans that she is on a "wellness kick", and is reportedly "feeling really healthy" throughout her pregnancy.
As for how her husband is preparing for their new arrival? "Adam has been really helpful and is so excited on the baby," a source told E! Online. "Adam and Anne are doing great as a couple and this whole baby process is a bonding experience for them both."
