Rihanna is fearless when it comes to experimenting with her hair, so it comes as no surprise that the 27-year-old showed off yet another gorgeous look on Wednesday. The Diamonds hitmaker, who recently unveiled a new bob, debuted an even shorter style on Instagram as she celebrated her new album Anti going platinum.

In the photo shared with her 33.4 million followers Rihanna can be seen sporting the chic blunt hairstyle, in a glossy jet back shade, which falls a couple of inches above her shoulders. Showing off her effortlessly cool style credentials, the singer complemented her new 'do looking the epitome of laidback chic in a black leather jacket and blue jeans.

"Thank you to my kill team, NAVY we're the 1ST & ONLY in history to be @RIAA_awards certified with 100M song awards and..... #ANTI is PLATINUM!" she wrote in the caption. "Thank u for the love! Glory be to God!!"

Rihanna first revealed she'd gone for a bob when she appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show

The Work singer, who has been rocking long tresses in recent months, first debuted a medium length bob when she appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show alongside George Clooney in February.

It's not the first time that the singer has rocked short hair. Not only did she sport a glossy black bob in the video for her hit single Umbrella, but she also wowed fans when she went for a bold and edgy pixie cut in 2011.

Rihanna is notorious for playing with her look, having tried out a wide variety of shades and styles throughout the years. Bright red, blue, grey, blonde and brunette are just some of the colours she has tried out, with her locks having been styled into bobs, long waves, curls and poker straight hair.
