All About That Bass hitmaker Meghan Trainor has ditched her trademark blonde locks and gone for a completely new look to mark the launch of her new album. The 22-year-old took to Instagram to reveal she had dyed her locks a fiery shade of auburn.

Meghan showed off her new look in a striking selfie, smiling for the camera with her striking new hair worn down in tousled waves. She kept the rest of her look simple to let the colour of hair pop, opting for a black top and a hint of mascara.
"NEW ALBUM. NEW HAIR," she excitedly wrote in the caption to her 3.8 million Instagram followers. "THANK YOU LO LO @lorienmeillon."
It seems the young star has been after a new look in recent months – she previously surprised fans when she cut her famously long waves into a shoulder-length bob, adding highlights for a sleek finish.

It's been a busy few months for the star, who underwent surgery last September after she haemorrhaged her vocal cord for the second time. Meghan was forced to cancel her US tour, sharing the news with her fans in an emotional Instagram post where she explained that a case of bronchitis had worsened her condition.
"I am devastated, scared and so sorry," she wrote. "I LOVE touring and seeing your beautiful faces every night. I am determined to do what it take to get better and come back around stronger than ever."
A few weeks later, the Dear Future Husband singer gave her followers a sneak peek of the "before and after pics" of her surgery, revealing she was on the road to recovery.
"My before and after pics," she wrote alongside a collage of the photos. "I look so hurt. I survived tho! Now napping on the couch with mama and getting free head rubs. Any movie suggestions?"
