Miranda Kerr has cut her hair into a long bob

The Australian beauty unveiled her new look on Instagram, posting a gorgeous selfie alongside hairstylist David Keogh, who cut her hair. "What do you guys think of my new do?" she asked her 8.5 million followers, who swiftly began flooding the comments section with compliments.

The former Victoria's Secret angel admitted that she has been considering trying a fresh new look for a while, but her modelling contracts meant she had to stick to the same length.

"Well, I've been wanting to cut my hair now for at least a year," she told Harper's Bazaar. "I've often fantasized about it but I haven't been able to do it because of the contracts that I've had, but now I just got clearance from all the clients that I work with, so I was like, 'Let's just do it!' And everyone's like, 'Oh, we should do it for a special event, but I just wanted to cut it—I'm ready'."

Miranda shared a video as stylist David Keogh completed her new look

Miranda confessed that she was excited to finally have been able to go for a change, admitting she thought her new 'do felt "really fresh".

"I've had long hair pretty much my whole life. I've never cut it this short before, except maybe when I was like, four years old, I guess I had this haircut," she explained. "Not this exact haircut, because I used to have bangs and I obviously didn't cut bangs today. But it's really nice for a change—it feels really fresh."

It seems the star has already embraced one of the biggest advantages of short hair – the low maintenance routine it takes to style it.

"When I'm not working, I generally let me hair air dry," she said. "So I just dried it and then he [David] put a wave in it which I quite like and I was like, 'Oh, this is perfect.'" To prove how it easy it was to create her sleek look, Miranda even shared a short video of herself as David styled her locks, showing off her sense of humour by pulling funny faces at the camera.
